In today's challenging and somewhat frustrating insurance environment, understanding your insurance coverage is key to avoiding unwanted medical bills. Becoming familiar with the requirements of your policy is vital.
We bill all obstetrical fees to your insurance company at the time of your delivery. At your initial OB visit, our insurance coordinator will contact your insurance carrier for a benefit determination. This will determine what percentage of the fee is likely to be paid by them. Your portion of the balance will be calculated and configured in to a mutually agreed upon budget payment plan to be paid before your birth. If an overpayment should occur, it will be immediately refunded to you after delivery. The fee for your obstetric care may be higher if your pregnancy or delivery is complicated or high risk. Examples include: preterm labor, hypertension, cesarean section.
